LONG-TERM CARE
The Long-Term Care Ombudsman program is provided under the guidelines of Titles VII A and III B of the Older Americans Act and provides for advocacy services to or on behalf of residents of long-term care facilities.
Services include: investigation and resolution of complaints; training of personnel; promotion of and attendance at resident and family councils; representation of residents' interests before governmental agencies; analysis and monitoring of the development and implementation of federal, state, and local laws, regulations, and other governmental policies and actions.
